In October 2023, a joint seminar on international arbitration and mediation, organized by the Dai-Ichi Tokyo Bar Association and the California State Bar Association, was held with the support of the Ministry of Justice of Japan.
Following opening remarks by the organizers, Mr. MATSUMOTO Takeshi, Director of the International Affairs Division, Minister’s Secretariat, Ministry of Justice of Japan, delivered opening remarks. Subsequently, attorneys from the California State Bar Association and the Dai-Ichi Tokyo Bar Association exchanged views on trends in international ADR in California and developments in international arbitration and mediation in Japan.
